Welcome to the Coshocton County Gun Club! The facility is located on State Route 83 South, outside the City of Coshocton and north of Wills Creek Dam. The Coshocton Gun Club strives to educate its' membership, and the general public about gun safety, handling, and use.

ClubOriginally organized in 1948 as the Coshocton Rifle and Pistol Club. In 1953, the Rifle and Pistol Club incorporated with the State of Ohio to become the Coshocton Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc. by C.E. Wagner, Paul Roberts, and Eugene Huff. In August of that same year, the Simon and Irene Stewart sold a piece of property to the Coshocton Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc. for one dollar.

After being recognized by the National Rifle Association as an affiliated club in 1959, the Rifle and Pistol Club changed its name to the Coshocton Gun Club, Inc. under which it operates as a non-profit Ohio corporation today. After acquiring the property, the Gun Club constructed a 200-yard Rifle Range, a 50-yard outdoor pistol range, two sixteen-station trap houses, a club house, and a 25-yard indoor pistol range all of which have been updated and are still in use today.

Over the years the Coshocton Gun Club has been home to organized Trap Shooting, Silhouette Shooting, PPC shoots, and other events. The local Ohio Army National Guard Unit uses the 200-yard rifle range for practice and qualification.

The club grounds cover approximately 80-acres which are heavily forested and home to a variety of wildlife. A number of members hunt deer and turkey in season on club property.

Today, the Coshocton Gun Club remains a private membership shooting club. We are an NRA Affiliated Club and a member of the Ohio Rifle and Pistol Association. The club holds gun safety and training courses for the public conducted by NRA Certified Instructors and is also home to the local 4H Shooting Sports for shotgun, rifle and muzzle loading training. In addition, The US Army Reserve uses the outdoor pistol range for training & qualification.
